Trinamool Congress MP Saugata Roy has given a statement on Saturday. Through this statement, he has created a new controversy by warning the opposition parties. In fact, he said that party workers will "punch back" those who label every Trinamool Congress leader as a 'thief'. With this, Saugata Roy said in a meeting in Dum Dum, North Kolkata, 'If the opposition parties - Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress and Communist Party of India Marxist (CPI-M) - target former minister and suspended leader Partha Chatterjee from the party. If so, he would not object to it. But he should not make the mistake of labelling every TMC leader as a 'thief'.

Apart from this, Saugata Roy warned the opposition and said, 'If you make such remarks then get ready for heavy punches on your back.' Then don't complain. Not only this, but BJP National Vice President Dilip Ghosh has also retaliated against this statement of Saugata Roy. Former Bengal BJP president said, "Roy has made this remark to strengthen his position in Trinamool." Let us tell you that yesterday Saugata Roy said, "If our leader Mamata Banerjee is called the queen of corruption The opposition does not know how the party workers will react in anger. When people get angry, they react in unexpected ways. Let us tell you that before this, Saugata Roy had created a controversy in a meeting a month ago by saying that if the opposition labels the Trinamool as a party of thieves, then shoes will be made from the skin of critics.'' Apart from this, he had said in another meeting a few days later that 'Those in the opposition who label Trinamool workers as thieves, they will be thrown out of their areas by party workers.'

Dilip Ghosh said, "I ask Saugata da if people in your party don't mind when one after the other Trinamool leader is arrested in job-related scams and cattle smuggling cases. Don't they feel bad when Trinamool panchayat and municipal functionaries loot money from central rural projects and deprive the needy?''
