Calicut: KPCC president K Sudhakaran spoke out against Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Sunday, claiming that if Tharoor does not yield to the party on the K-Rail project, Tharoor will be kicked out of the party. In Kannur, Sudhakaran stated that no one in the party had the authority to reject party decisions.

"In the party, Tharoor is the sole member. He will be in the party if he yields to the party. He won't be at the party if he doesn't. It applies to everyone, whether Shashi Tharoor or K Sudhakaran. Anyone who is a member of the party has no right to dispute or reject the organization's choices. No one, including a member of Parliament, has been given such authority. In response to a query, Sudhakaran stated, "Congress is not just one Shashi Tharoor."

He stated that Tharoor had responded to the KPCC's request for an explanation on the matter, and that the party had requested that Tharoor provide the answer in writing. "He is capable of preserving and protecting his own point of view. But, in the end, he must obey the party. "We can only sympathise with the party's unity if party MLAs and MPs do not follow the party's official stand," the KPCC president added. Though he recognises Tharoor's intellect and broad perspectives, Sudhakaran believes the MP has yet to get on the correct track in Indian politics.
