The same incident took place in Mukawan village of Guna district. SP Rajiv Kumar Mishra, while reporting the case, said that a 40-year-old man living in the village had lodged a missing report of his 14-year-old daughter at the Cantt police station. The accused, while writing the report, had informed the police that his minor girl had been missing since Tuesday afternoon. When the police registered a report and started the investigation, the neighbours told about the last time they saw the girl going with her father during interrogation. After the information was received from the people, the police interrogated the criminal, the criminal was repeatedly trying to mislead the police by changing his statement, on which the police interrogated him strictly. Thereafter, the criminal narrated the entire incident to the police.

The statements of the criminal father also surprised the police. The culprit said in his statement that he took his daughter to the forest of Damdoli near Vinkhyai at around 12 noon on Tuesday, where he asked her to have a physical relationship with her daughter. But the girl refused and threatened to tell everyone at home about it. In order to hide this, the criminal strangulated his daughter to death. After the murder, he had physical relations with the body and later he left the body in the forest and reached the Cantt police station to file a report. The criminal lived in the in-laws' house with his wife and two daughters.
