Actor Anil Kapoor shared his experience at the 50th International Film Festival, the biggest festival of cinema-going on in Panaji, Goa. He said 'Life is too short for me to fulfill all my dreams. I consider myself lucky that I always got the opportunity to work with the best directors. Filmmaking is teamwork and I proudly say that I have always been a director's actor. I sincerely believe that the director is the captain of the film. I first did a camera face in 1977, but now I want to do a lot. Desiring his heart, he was discussing the topic 'Directors Actor' here with his friend and director Anees Bazmee.

Anil Kapoor, 'There are a lot of films and characters that I would like to do. Initially I have been a big fan of Marlon Brando. Apart from this, Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor, Dev Sahab, Shammi Kapoor acted like these people.

Talking about his biggest hurdle in his inital day, the actor daid, "When I started my career I felt the biggest disadvantage for me was my surname Kapoor'. I decided that I will do what no other Kapoor is doing. I decided I will not do Kapooriyat'. I thought I will make my own place first. I used to meet Shyam Benegal, Mrinal Sen, M S Sathyu and Mani Ratnam. These were the filmmakers who used to make real and serious cinema. I wanted to create an image of a serious actor, a thinking actor. Which I am.  I knew I didn't have the strength to be a conventional hero, but my strength was that I could play characters. I had the guts and was ready to fall flat on face. I was ready for people and critics making fun of me."

During the event, Anil Kapoor and Anees Bazmee did not forget to promote their film Pagalpanti released on Friday. Not only this, the session's moderator Tisca Chopra also appealed to the people to watch the film.
