The person is often ignored by the small signals found in the body before the emergence of a disease, and these signs later take the form of a deadly disease. Brain tumor is also one of these diseases, its name is falling in the ears of almost everyone, but the number of those who were aware of it was very low. The development of some kind of lump in the brain is being called brain tumor. It can be simple as well as cancer-related. When the tumor starts to develop in the brain, then some signs of it must start to appear in the body. If we recognize these signs and take proper consultation with the right doctor at the right time, then the potential dangers can be avoided. This is what Dr Rajnish Cachara of Medanta Superspecialty Hospital, one of indore's leading hospitals, director, institute of neurosciences has to say. If you do not get treatment in time, brain tumor can also be fatal. Since the brain is helping to run the whole body and every part of it is important and useful, no matter what part of the brain the tumor is, it is definitely a big reason to harm the patient.
Not every tumor is cancerous: Tumors have also been usually seen to be linked to cancer, but not every tumor is cancerous. Our brain is made up of cells. Whenever the control of the brain's cells starts deteriorating for some reason, these cells begin to disappear. After which the work of the brain begins to be interrupted. At the same time, when the uninvoluted cells in the brain start spreading rapidly, they take the form of cancer. Usually, when there is a cancer in the breast, lunges, etc., at some place, its particles reaching the brain can also take the form of cancer in the tumor. According to a report by the Department of Neuro Surgery, about 50 percent of brain tumor patients have a cancerous tumor, which is called a malignant brain tumor. The rest become binine brain tumors (normal tumors or a place of nerves to gather). In the case of a tumor without these, the patient can be easily removed by performing surgery. While the malignant brain tumor can be removed once it is decided again. According to the asia pacific journal's research report, with the increase in brain-related diseases in the world, more than 2,500 Indian children suffer from medulloblastoma (brain cancer in children) every year, with 40,000-50,000 people in India diagnosed with brain tumors every year, 20 per cent of them being children.
Headaches most common symptoms: Headaches or sometimes vomiting with it are one of the most important symptoms of a brain tumor. An epileptic attack is also mainly involved in its symptoms. If a young person has had an epileptic attack for the first time, there are more chances of developing a brain-related problem or brain tumor. Sleeplessness, mood swings, hearing problems, speech problems, cognitive decline (low ability to learn) are other symptoms. The side effect of the tumor is that the part of the brain in which it thrives stops working from the part that operates. As an example, if the tumor is in the body-controlling part, the patient becomes a victim of paralysis, or the patient begins to have vision problems when the eye vein is in relation, which may include double appearance of objects or less visible.
Investigation of the tumor: After closely knowing the symptoms of the disease, if the symptoms of the tumor are noticed, then the CT scan test of the patient is done. After such an investigation, when the condition of the tumor comes to light, a contra study is done through MRI, after which the sarundings and the actual location of the tumor are known, in which part of the brain it is actually flourishing. Only then is the treatment started.
Surgery from neuro navigation: Many times the tumor is not visible on the surface due to being located very deep inside, special technology is used to reach its depth, which is available in Medanta. This is known as neuro navigation or image guided surgery. Neuro navigation technology helps a lot in the safe removal of tumors.
