Today is the birthday of famous Bollywood film actress and singer Ila Arun. Ila Arun has made a special mark with her work in Bollywood. There are few people who have been in the news for singing as well as for their acting. Ila Arun is one such person. She has been in the news especially because of her songs, which are inspired by Rajasthani folk music. She has been raising her voice for a folk artist. 

The song 'Mhare Rajasthan Ma' from popular film 'Lamhe' of famous Bollywood actress Sridevi's popular film 'Lamhe' has been sung by Ila. The other big track 'Morni Baga Ma Bole' was sung by Lata Mangeshkar along with Ila and Moinuddin. This song has been filmed on the characters of Sridevi and Ila. The song 'Choli Ke Peechee' from the crime thriller 'Khal Nayak' was sung by Ila Arun. Ila and Alka were associated with this song. Lyricist Anand Bakshi wrote this song.

Along with this, the song Gutur Gutur from the film 'Dalal' was composed by Bappi Lahri. Apart from Ila, singers Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu and Bappi Lahari also lent their voice to the song. The song was picturised on Mithun Chakraborty and Ayesha Julka. Along with this, Ila Arun has sung many great songs which are still very much liked today.
