Neena Gupta is one of the most loved actresses in Bollywood. She is among those actresses who have gained success and recognization in the latter half of her career. The actress has been featured in various big bollywood films this year.  She is always very vocal about her professional life. In a recent interview the actress opens up about the ‘Brave’ tag that people gave it her because she have Masaba without marriage.

Neena and former West Indies cricketer Viv Richards had Masaba Gupta out of wedlock in 1988.  She is now married to Vivek Mehra. Her daughter Masaba Gupta is also an actor and a successful designer. In a recent interview, the actress said, "I'm not a rebel, I'm a chuha (mouse). I'm not unconventional, I'm the most conventional person right now.”

She added, “Just because I had a baby out of wedlock, which millions of women have in India and out. But the media made me into, 'Ah, brave'. After my death, the headline will come, 'Neena Gupta who lived life on her own terms passes away'. I did not." Speaking about his family's reaction to her acting career she said, "They were against it. My mother was a double MA herself at that time. She used to look down upon Hindi films, she would only go to international film festivals and see English films. And when I said [I wanted to act], she like died. She said, 'No way'."

On the career front, Neena was last seen in Vadh with Sanjay Mishra. The film is written and directed by Rajeev Barnwal and Jaspal Singh Sandhu. It was released on December 9, 2022. The psychological thriller is backed by J Studios and Next Level Productions, and it is presented by Luv Films' Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg.
