The tussle between yoga guru Baba Ramdev and IMA continues. Meanwhile, The National Head of The Indian Medical Association, Dr. J.A. Jayalhas issued a major statement on Baba Ramdev. Dr. J.A. Jayal says that the Indian Medical Association is not against Ramdev. He has to say that when Baba Ramdev withdraw his remarks, the police will withdraw the complaint later. According to media reports, Dr. J.A. Jayal has also said that we are not against Baba Ramdev.
We find that Ramdev's statement is confusing and disturbing to the people. This is our great concern. Because Baba Ramdev has many followers. A single statement made by him leaves a direct impact on him.
It may be recalled that the IMA has sent a defamation notice to Baba Ramdev for making controversial statements against doctors. IMA has been told that if Baba Ramdev does not apologise for his statement in 2 weeks (15 days), a claim of 1,000 crore rupees is going to be imposed against him. He has to ask pardon letter. There is a demand from such doctors' organisations.
Advertisements to be withdrawn within three days: According to reports, the Indian Medical Association has also raised objections over swami Ramdev's Patanjali company product respiratory coronary kit. IMA has also accused Ramdev and his associates of circulating misleading advertisements about the coronil kit. The organisation says that all advertisements related to coronary kits should be withdrawn within 3 days.
