Dehradun: Tourists have started turning to the mountains as the heat rises in most states of north India including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi. A large number of tourists are arriving at hill stations like Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Nainital, Solan and Manali are also buzzing with tourists as the second wave of corona infection slows down and the unlock begins.
But tourists may also face some problems in the coming days. In fact, the Met department has issued rain warnings in 6 districts including Dehradun, Nainital for July 7, 8, 9 and 10. The Met department has predicted rain in Pauri, Tehri, Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and Nainital districts of the state. According to met department forecast, pithoragarh, bageshwar and nainital may receive heavy rainfall on July 7.
While on July 8, lightning accompanied by heavy rains is also expected in these three districts as well as Dehradun, Tehri and Pauri. There are chances of landslides in hilly areas after torrential rains. The Met department has issued a warning to tourists to remain vigilant.
