New Delhi: The corona epidemic has brought about a drastic change in every parts of the country. Under the new excise policy, liquor shops in Delhi will be in open spaces, with Acs, where there will be no push-and-go and people will be able to go within the contract and buy liquor of their choice easily. At the same time, liquor will now be allowed to be served in clubs and restaurants till 3 pm.
The same Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 has been made public on Monday. It is reported that the tax on sale of liquor is a major part of the state's revenue. The new system simply means that the Delhi government will separate itself from the retail liquor trade and provide an opportunity for private liquor shops to enter the market.
As per delhi's new excise policy, domestic and foreign liquor retail shops (L-7V) can be opened anywhere in any market, mall, commercial areas, local shopping complex. It is further stated that "Every retailer will provide customers with facilities so that people come and carry goods easily. They have to prepare the shops accordingly. There will no longer be any long queues or congestion clearances of customers outside the shops." This means that people will be able to go inside the liquor shop and choose the wine of their choice.
