Lucknow: Ved Prakash Yadav, an inspector posted at Fatehpur Kotwali in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh, died by hanging himself at his official residence. The cause of the suicide is not yet known, but he is being described as a patient of depression. When he did not get up till late in the morning, the policemen broke the boundary of the house and entered the house and found his body hanging from the roof of the verandah.
They then informed Inspector Sanjay Maurya in this regard. As soon as the news spread, there was a commotion in Kotwali. No suicide note was found in his room. The family of Ved Prakash, a native of Thana Kandhara in Azamgarh district, lives in Lucknow. He was an ASI of the 2011 batch. He was in charge of Fatehpur Kotwali as well as in various police station areas of Hardoi and Barabanki.
About six months ago, he was posted in Kotwali Fatehpur. There is a wife, a son and a daughter in the family. On Friday, Ved Prakash continued to work on routine duty. Why he committed suicide suddenly is yet to be revealed.
