USA: The craze of AI chatbot is at its peak at the moment. To capitalize on this craze, Snapchat has decided to release its own ChatGPT-powered chatbot.

It uses the latest version of ChatGPT and goes by the name "My AI". Users of the paid version of social media platform Snapchat+ have access to the chatbot as an experimental feature. Snapchat users can customize the chatbot.

Tech companies now experience FOMO (fear of missing out) as a result of the phenomenal success of ChatGPT. Everyone wants to build their own AI chatbot or use ChatGPT to power their chatbot, and both options are in high demand.

Snap belongs to the latter group. The social media company, which had a disappointing year in 2022, doesn't want to pass up the lucrative AI market.

The Chat tab on Snapchat will be pinned with the "My AI" chatbot. Your conversations with friends will weigh heavily on this. My AI can answer trivia questions, suggest birthday gifts for friends, organize weekend getaways, and even compose haikus (short-form poetry from Japan) . You can give the AI a unique identity by giving it a name and changing the chat wallpaper.

My AI is essentially a mobile-optimized version of ChatGPT. But Snapchat has made changes to the chatbot to comply with its rules. My AI has more limitations than ChatGPT.

It has received training from the social media company to follow Snap's trust and safety policies. According to Snapchat's blog post, the chatbot is designed to "avoid biased, inaccurate, harmful or misleading information."

Snapchat wants my AI to be friendlier than ChatGPT, which evolved into a tool for productivity. The chatbot will open a new conversation page when you click on it.

My AI's profile page is the standard for all Snapchat users. There's even an alien-like Bitmoji available. According to Snapchat, My AI is not intended to be used as a search engine.

Despite the limitations placed on My AI, Snapchat still claims that it, like other AI-powered chatbots, is "prone to hallucinations and can be tricked into saying anything."
