And, yes, several hill stations very much have airports and even if some don’t have, the nearest airports around them will help you reach these pretty hill stations in no time.

Shimla. It is one of the most loved hill stations of India and is quite close to Delhi as well. You can take a road trip also but if you have time constraint then you can book a flight and it will help you reach Shimla under a couple of hours. 

Darjeeling. Picturesque locations, scenic beauty and the weather to die for, this is how we can describe Darjeeling. It is just perfect and very beautiful and it can be reached via a flight as well. The airport in Darjeeling is known as Bagdogra.

Shillong. Part of the seven sisters, Shillong is another hill station that is full of peace and will help you unwind. The beautiful holiday destination doesn’t have an airport hence you can take a flight to Umroi airport near Barapani which is just 25 km away from Shillong.

Kalimpong. Siliguri’s Bagdogra airport is the nearest to Kalimpong. So, if you want to travel via flight, this would be a great option, as all major domestic flights have good connectivity between the rest of India and Bagdogra. From the airport, you can take a local cab to Kalimpong which is just 79 km away from Bagdogra.

Ooty. Nearly 88 km away from Ooty, Coimbatore would be the nearest airport to this serene hill station. This airport is well-connected to the major cities of India and hence reaching Ooty would be no trouble.

Mussoorie. Another very popular and very amazing hill station is Mussoorie which can be travelled via bus and car as well but if you are not a road trip person then flights are also available. The nearest airport to this town is the Jolly Grant airport which is located in Dehradun and is 54 km away from Mussoorie.
