The official broadcaster of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), DSport channel in India has blacked out the telecast of the tournament in the wake of Pulawama terror attack. In one of the deadliest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, 40 CRPF personnel were martyred when a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden SUV into a CRPF convoy. The dastardly attack has left the whole nation in deep shock.

Currently, the fourth edition of the PSL is underway in Dubai. A number of cricketing stars from around the world are a part of the six teams that are competing in the tournament. The final stage of the league is expected to be hosted in Pakistan. However, the telecast has been stopped in India. The broadcast was expected to be stopped from Friday night, however, some technical limitations meant the telecast was suspended from Saturday night. A top channel official informed that "We've suspended the broadcast,".

The whole nation has been mourning the loss of 40 brave soldiers. The bodies of the martyred arrived at the Palam airport on Saturday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders laid the wreath on the coffins wrapped in the national flag. The attack took place on Thursday on the Jammu-Srinagar Highway. Terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed claimed responsibility of the attack, while the suicide bomber was identified as a 20-year-old Adil Ahmad Dar.

Pakistan Super League has managed to attract cricket stars from across the world to be a part of the tournament but no Indian player has ever played in the league. The tournament had no broadcasters in the country until last year when DSport bought the telecasting rights. However, the channel showing solidarity with the terror attack in Kashmir has decided to pull a plug on the telecast. Meanwhile, the Cricket Club of India (CCI) took down the portrait of former Pakistan cricketer and now Prime Minister, Imran Khan from their collection on Saturday, in the wake of the attack on the CRPF convoy in Kashmir's Pulwama.
