New Delhi: The shortage of vaccine during the second wave of corona in the country has added to the woes of the government. Talks are on with vaccine manufacturing companies to increase production. Meanwhile, Delhi-based AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria has said that vaccines will be available in large quantities in the country in about two months as vaccine manufacturing companies will start opening their manufacturing plants and vaccine supplements will be available. He has also asked other countries to order vaccines.

Dr. Randeep Guleria further said, "The vaccine of covishield, covaxin and sputnik will be produced in India by more and more manufacturing plants. Sputnik has tied up with several companies in India for construction. New plants are being set up by Bharat Biotech and Serum Institute (SII). We will have a large quantity of dosage by July-August".

On Friday, 326,123 new cases of corona infection were reported in the country, the lowest in May this month. The death toll due to the epidemic was 3879. According to worldometer data, it is a matter of relief that friday is the lowest number of cases per day of corona this month. Earlier, 3 lakh 29 thousand new cases were registered on May 10.
