Patna: The Income Tax Department in Bihar has sent notices to more than 250 candidates. These candidates include 68 current MLAs from several political parties. During the Bihar assembly elections, the Election Commission was informed by concealing wrong facts and data in the affidavit. The Election Commission (EC) had expressed apprehension of irregularities in the affidavit, after which preliminary investigations revealed shocking facts.

In fact, in this case, the Election Commission took further action and entrusted the Income Tax Department with the responsibility of investigating. At the same time, notices have been issued to all. In such a case, all people will have to respond to the notice by the last week of November. Further action will be ensured according to the manner and seriousness of the error in case of misreporting your property. Preliminary investigations have revealed a number of discrepancies.

On the other hand, most cases are related to misreporting of property. While the Election Commission had already warned that all candidates would give clear details of their assets. Many candidates have not even discussed their movable real estate, while some candidates have not even recorded the properties they have reported in the income tax return in their affidavits.
