New Delhi: There is doubt about Rohit Sharma playing in the fifth Test against England starting on Friday. Rohit was found to be corona infected a few days ago, from which he has not yet recovered. If Rohit does not play, India will have to find the opening combination along with the captaincy. With Rohit not playing, it will be interesting to see who gets a chance to open the innings with Shubman Gill.

Now, former Indian cricket team fast bowler Ajit Agarkar has made a statement about India's opening combination in the Edgbaston Test match. Agarkar believes that Cheteshwar Pujara or Hanuma Vihari should open for India in the fifth Test match against England. Speaking to Sony Sports, Agarkar said, "I know KS Bharat scored a few runs in the practice match. The team management will probably have an eye on how ready Mayank Agarwal is to play after joining the team. I don't know if Mayank has enough time to prepare for this one-off Test or not. In case of Rohit is out, I say that the experience of Vihari or Pujara will matter.''

The former bowler further said, "Vihari has already started the innings twice for India. So for one of the two, it would be my choice, if Mayank is not fully fit. Mayank didn't have enough time in the nets and obviously, he is not going to get any practice match. In my opinion, it would be better to go with a little experience, because it's the only Test.''
