Bengaluru: The third and final match of the three T20 series between India and South Africa was played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In this match, South Africa defeated India. The visiting team defeated Team India by 9 wickets. With this win, the series became 1–1. The Indian team won the toss and decided to bat first. But Team India's batsmen failed miserably. The Indian team could only manage 134 runs after losing 9 wickets in 20 overs.

Chasing the target, the South African team scored 135 runs losing 1 wicket in 16.5 overs. South African captain Quinton De Kock scored 79 runs, scoring a tremendous innings. The South African team, chasing a target of 135 runs, added 43 runs without losing wickets in 6 overs of the powerplay. Captain Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks gave the team a good start. India got their first wicket off the first ball of the 11th over, when Reeza Hendricks scored 28 runs and was caught by Virat Kohli off Hardik Pandya. De Kock remained unbeaten on 79 off 52 balls with 6 fours and 5 sixes.

Apart from these, Temba Bavuma returned unbeaten after scoring 27 runs off 23 balls. Talking about the Indian team, Rohit Sharma failed to play a good inning even in the third T20 match. He scored only 9 runs and lost his wicket off Beuran Hendricks. His catch was caught by Reeza Hendricks. India suffered another setback as Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan was caught by Tabraiz Shamsi at the hands of Bavuma, who scored 36 runs off 25 balls with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes. India received a third blow in the form of Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli became the victim of Kagiso Rabada by scoring 9 runs in 15 balls. India got the fourth blow in the form of Rishabh Pant, who scored 19 runs in 20 balls. Team India landed in this match without any change.
