New Delhi:  Indian team broke and set many records on the West Indies tour. In this episode, young wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant Namke, who came under the attack of critics for his poor batting, also broke a record, in which he has given a strong reply to his haters. The Indian cricket team achieved a 299-run lead in the first innings on the third day of the Jamaica Test. The team then batted again and set a target of 468 runs in front of the hosts.

The start of the second innings of the West Indies was not good and by the end of the third day the game was 45, losing two wickets. The team's first setback came in the form of Craig Brathwaite when the right-handed batsman tried to drive to the ball outside the off Ishant Sharmaki off-stump and the ball took the edge of the bat and was caught in the gloves of Rishabh Pant.

With this hunt behind the wicket, Rishabh Pant overtook former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and became the fastest 50 wicket-keeper in Test cricket for India. Pant had 50 victims in only 11 Tests, while Dhoni had to play 15 Tests for this. Pant, however, has not shown any special feat in this series with the bat. In three innings of two Tests, only 58 runs have been scored off Pant's bat. His highest score in this is 27. For this reason, he was heavily criticized by critics.
