Dehradun: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami today participated in the Gallantry Award felicitation ceremony of the Indian Army at RIMC Auditorium, Dehradun. On the occasion, the Chief Minister felicitated various medal-winning soldiers, retired soldiers and Veeranganas. A lump sum amount of soldiers decorated with the Vishisht Seva medal award has been increased. The grant to ex-Servicemen and War Widows of World War II has been increased from 8,000 to 10,000 per month.''

At the same time, he also said, "Computer training up to 06 months is also being imparted to connect ex-servicemen, military widows and their dependents with self-employment and make them self-reliant. This training is being imparted in all the districts. 50,000/- will be provided to those who have cleared NDA and CDS pre-examinations for further preparation. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has taken the initiative of the 5th Dham Sainik Dham in Uttarakhand. A grand military Dham will be built in Dehradun.'' Further, the Chief Minister said, "The soldiers living in the Cantt area will be exempted from house tax as elsewhere in the state. Today, I feel proud to honour my brave soldiers and heroes.''
