Bihar: MLA Anant Singh escapes by dodging police

Patna: Independent Baahubali MLA Anant Singh, from Mokama Assembly seat in Bihar, escaped after he dodged the Patna police. Police had arrived at his official residence late Saturday night. The Baahubali MLA had already noticed this. Police raided his residence on Friday and recovered an AK-47 rifle and a hand grenade. In the same case, unidentified persons including MLA Anant Singh and Caretaker Sunil Ram have been booked under 3 Explosive Fundiminies in addition to Section 414 of IPC, Arms Act, Section 13 (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act) of UAPA.

The case has been handed over to ASP Lipi Singh for the flood. The Patna police informed about Anant's absconding and said that we had spoken to his wife, but he did not give any information, we would take further action. Earlier, in the same case, home caretaker Sunil Ram was arrested by the police on Saturday and sent to jail. He was taken into custody by the police last Sunday.

He was arrested after interrogation. Police raided the house of MLA Ananth Singh at Nadwan. Magazines and tablets were recovered along with THE AK-47. Hand grenades were also recovered. This is the first case of hand grenades being found in Bihar. Anant Singh was once very close to Nitish Kumar.
