Team India is currently locking horns with Australia without the big players like Virat Kohli, Jadeja, Ashwin and many more. The Ajinkya Rahane-led India came up with several forced changes in the playing XI for the fourth and final Test versus Australia at The Gabba, Brisbane on Friday. With the series tied at 1-1, India has as many as two debutants in the line-up due to several senior players' unavailability with several injury concerns.

With so many changes in the team, India has used as many as 20 players in the whole course of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21 -- the most by them in a series since 1961/62.

India's regular captain Virat Kohli is at home due to paternity leave. However, the team also lost Mohammed Shami due to a fracture after the Adelaide Test. Umesh Yadav was ruled out midway during the second Test whereas KL Rahul was sidelined with a wrist injury prior to the third match. Coming to the fourth and final Test, India are now without R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah and Hanuma Vihari due to respective injuries.

India's playing XI for the final Test: Rohit Sharma (vc), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane(c), Mayank Agarwal, Rishabh Pant(w), Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Navdeep Saini, Mohammed Siraj, T Natarajan.
