India in ICC Women's World Cup 2017 defeated South Africa with a 49-run win. Also, along with India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka stands as a winning team in the first round of Super Six matches in the qualifiers.

The cup tie between India and South Africa on Wednesday, February 15 starred Indian Captain Mithali Raj in a way what is seen as a high-profile match.

India and South Africa had been on the top of their respective groups. The match of Super Six qualify the teams for the ICC Women's Worl Cup 2017 as well as for the ICC Women's Championship.

With Sri Lanka beating Pakistan by five wickets and Bangladesh defeating Ireland by seven, India is not being that much strong having defeated South Africa by only three wickets.

On a note, Captain Mithali said "The win definitely eases the pressure on us, especially for the last match of the Super League against Pakistan. It also gives us time to assess what all we are not doing right so that we can improve on those aspects in the coming matches."
