Mumbai: In a show of unity, the opposition alliance known as 'INDIA' (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance), currently convening in Mumbai for a strategic meeting, has collectively adopted a resolution lauding India's triumphant Chandrayaan-3 moon mission.

The resolution commended the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), its present and former members, for their exemplary contributions that have elevated the nation's prestige on the global stage. It read, "We, the INDIA parties, congratulate the entire ISRO family - present and past - for its outstanding achievements which have made our country proud."

Furthermore, the opposition alliance paid homage to previous administrations, acknowledging that it took six decades of persistent effort to cultivate and enhance ISRO's capabilities. The resolution stated, "Chandrayaan-3 has thrilled the world, which is looking eagerly to the launch of Aditya-L1 tomorrow. We hope that the extraordinary accomplishments of ISRO strengthen the spirit of scientific temper in our society and give our youth the inspiration to excel in fields of scientific endeavor."

India marked a historic milestone on August 23 when the Chandrayaan-3 lander module flawlessly touched down on the moon's South Pole. This achievement not only secured India's place as the first country to accomplish this feat but also served as a triumphant conclusion to the disappointment of the Chandrayaan-2 crash landing four years prior. In total, India now joins the elite group of countries, including the US, China, and Russia, to successfully land on the moon's surface.

Following its triumphant lunar mission, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is poised for its next cosmic endeavor - the Aditya-L1 solar mission. Scheduled for launch on Saturday at 1150 IST from the Sriharikota launch pad, all launch preparations and vehicle checks have been successfully completed.

Aditya-L1 represents India's inaugural solar space observatory and will be launched via the PSLV-C57 rocket. It will carry seven distinct payloads designed to conduct an in-depth examination of the sun. Four of these payloads will observe solar light, while the remaining three will measure in-situ parameters related to plasma and magnetic fields. Aditya-L1 will be positioned in a halo orbit around Lagrangian Point 1 (L1), which lies 1.5 million kilometers from Earth in the direction of the sun. The mission is expected to cover this vast distance over a span of four months, shedding new light on our nearest star.
