India has done more than 4 crore corona tests, investigations are still being conducted

New Delhi: Coronavirus infection cases are increasing continuously in the country and the number of corona infected patients has crossed 34 lakh. With this, the number of corona tests in India has also crossed the four crore mark. The same testing labs are also being continuously increased. When the first case of corona infection was reported in the country in January 2020, there was only one lab in India and that was Pune for corona testing.

After this, India adopted 3T i.e. Testing Tracking and Treatment Policy, after which the number of labs was increased in the country for continuous coronavirus testing, which includes both private and government labs. There are now a total of 1576 laboratories in India, where corona tests are being done. There are 1002 government labs while 574 are private labs. A total of 4,04,06,609 samples have been tested in the laboratory so far.

Talking about Tests per million (TPM), now 29,280 Tests per million are being done in the country. In many states/union territories, it has been observed that there has been an increase in corona testing. The national positivity rate remains constant, that is, 8.57 percent and is falling continuously. A total of 34,63,972 positive cases have been registered in India. So far 62,550 patients have died due to this infection. At the same time, 26,48,998 patients have fully recovered from this infection. In India, the recovery rate from infection is 76.47 percent.
