New Delhi: The corona epidemic situation in India continues to improve. Less than 25,000 corona cases have been registered for the fifth consecutive day in the country and less than 30,000 cases have been reported on the 14th consecutive day. In the last 24 hours, 23,067 newly infected patients found. 336 people lost their lives due to corona. 24,661 patients have recovered from the corona earlier.

According to the latest data released by the Health Ministry, the total corona cases in India have increased to 1.146 crores. Out of these, 1 lakh 47 thousand 92 people have lost their lives so far. The total active cases came down to 2 lakh 81 thousand. So far, a total of 97 lakh 17 thousand people have been recovered by beating corona. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 1663 lakh corona samples were tested for coronavirus by December 24, out of which 10 lakh samples were tested yesterday.

According to ICMR, the positivity rate in the country is 7%. There are less than 20,000 active cases of coronavirus in 33 states and union territories. Kerala and Maharashtra account for 40% of the total active cases of coronavirus.
