New Delhi: The corona virus havoc in the country has broken all records so far. How deadly the corona menace has become in the country can be gauged from the fact that the number of new patients in a day has now reached two lakh. India has reported nearly two lakh new infected cases of corona virus in a day on Wednesday. At the same time, death cases are also on the rise. In this way, the second wave of corona is constantly setting new records, which are posing a scary picture.

According to the Health Ministry, 199,569 new cases of infection were registered in the country till Wednesday night. This is the largest figure of new corona infected people in a day since the beginning of the epidemic. Even in the first wave, the corona was not as frightening as it is seen in today's days. According to the Union Health Ministry, 1037 people have died in the last 24 hours. The total number of infected so far has increased to 14070300. The recovery rate of people infected with corona has further come down to 89.51 per cent.

Looking at the figures, the total number of deaths due to the epidemic has gone up to 1,73,152. The number of people undergoing treatment has also increased to 1365704, which is 9.24% of the total cases of infection. So far 12426146 corona patients have recovered, corona mortality rate is 1.24 per cent. The number of active cases in the country is 1465877.
