New Delhi: The number of coronavirus patients in India has been steadily increasing. More than 61 thousand infected cases of coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours. Due to which the total number of corona cases in the country has reached nearly 21 lakhs. In only eight days of August, the number of cases of corona has been highest in the world.

According to the Health Ministry data till Saturday morning, 61,537 positive cases of coronavirus have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours, while 933 deaths have been reported. After these figures, the total number of corona cases in the country has increased to 20,88,612. Of these, 6,19,088 are active cases and 14,27,006 patients have recovered completely. There have been 3,28,903 new coronavirus cases in the first six days of August in India. The number was 3,26,111 in the US and 2,51,264 in Brazil. The four cases reported in India in the four days of August were the highest in the world. The Corona cases reported in India on 2, 3, 5, and 6 August were the world's most daily cases.

On Thursday, India crossed the 20 lakh mark in the case of corona patients. This figure is increasing rapidly in the country. The growth rate of infection in India is 3.1%, which is higher than the US and Brazil. However, India lags behind the US and Brazil in death figures. Both Brazil and America have had more than 6,000 deaths due to corona in August so far, while the figure of India was only 5,075.
