New Delhi: The total number of corona patients in the country has now crossed 69 lakh 6 thousand. Out of these, one lakh six thousand 490 people have lost their lives. The number of active cases has come down to 8.93 lakh and a total of 59 lakh 6 thousand people have recovered. The number of people who have recovered is six times higher than the number of active cases of COVID19. The number of people who recovered from COVID19 has been more than the new corona cases.

According to the latest health ministry data, the number of people recovering is increasing. In the last 24 hours, 70,000 new corona cases have been reported in the country and 78,365 patients have recovered and discharged from different hospitals. However, 964 patients lost their lives. According to ICMR, a total of 844 lakh samples of coronavirus have been tested till October 8, out of which 11 lakh samples were tested yesterday. The positive rate is about seven percent.

Maharashtra has the highest active cases in the country. Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh have the highest active cases after Maharashtra. India is second in the world in terms of active cases. India is the second most affected country in the world in terms of the number of corona infected.
