India handed over two Mi-24V helicopters to Afghanistan under military cooperation

Afghanistan is important for India in terms of Political development. It is important to maintain stability and peace in the region and for that india should hold strong relations with Afghanistan. This will also help India to deal with Pakistan. That is why India is trying to help this country suffering from the internal war in every way. In this episode, India handed over two Mi-24V helicopters to Afghanistan at a ceremony in Kabul under defence cooperation. Indian Ambassador to Afghanistan Vinay Kumar officially handed over the helicopter to Afghanistan's Executive Defense Minister Asadullah Khalid at the military airport.

According to sources, these helicopters will replace the four helicopters that India gifted to Afghanistan in 2015-16. On this occasion, Asadullah Khalid thanked India for its support. At the same time, Vinay Kumar congratulated the Afghanistan Air Force on getting both helicopters and wished them success.

Vinay Kumar said that the Afghan National Defense Security Forces have made excellent efforts against cross-border terrorism and internal threats. According to Afghan media, the Afghanistan Air Force is to receive 150 new MD 530F light combat helicopters by 2022, after which the Afghan National Security and Defence Forces will have about 180 helicopters.
