India has 3rd largest start-up ecosystem in the world: Murmu

Lucknow: India President Droupadi Murmu on February 14 said that India has the third largest start-up ecosystem in the universal and that all educational institutions, particularly universities and technical educational institutions should take full benefits and promote students for research and innovation.

Addressing the tenth convocation of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow, the President said, "Today India has the 3rd largest start-up ecosystem in the world. All educational institutions, especially universities/technical institutions should take full advantage of this ecosystem and encourage their students to innovate and research. Their efforts would be a key contribution to making India a leading nation in the field of innovation and technology."

The President emphasized the favourable environment for business and investment generated by the UP Global Investors Summit-2023 and recommended linking education with this favourable environment.

"Our institutions should transform into a hub for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, an incubator for start-ups, and a place where fresh research is conducted for the benefit of the public. If our educational institutions also served as ambassadors for a new revolution, social prosperity, and equality, it would be extremely encouraging "She said.

Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar believed that a university's core responsibility is to educate the underprivileged and needy. He believed that a school should give all students with a high-quality education without any exceptions, she said.

The President  pointed out that by offering SC and ST students 50% reservations, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University is doing admirable work for the advancement of these students.

She gave assurance that this university would carry on promoting education in the nation and the state in accordance with Babasaheb's goals. 

"For the students, convocation is a very significant occasion. They receive the results of their many years of labour on this day. She said she wanted to take the chance to tell the pupils to start working towards their goals today and to keep them front of mind at all times, no matter what they wanted to become in life.

The President wanted certain students to succeed as academics and teachers. She asserted that teaching and education are related. The best teachers are required for the best educational system.

The President expressed her belief that graduates today will make significant advancements in life thanks to their education and knowledge.She urged "our talented kids to contribute their valuable contribution to ensuring the country's future by choosing teaching as a vocation."

"However, they should also continue to adhere to our culture and beliefs; only then will they be able to lead fulfilling lives. Consider finding a solution whenever a crisis situation arises and view it as an opportunity. This would improve their character "Murmu said.
