Anti-India poster found on walls of college, Police registered case

Posters of 'India is not my country' have been placed on the walls of two colleges in the Indian state of Kerala. Police has registered a case against the accused. The posters were pasted on the walls of Government ITI College at Government Brennan College, Thalassery in Malampuzha, Palakkad. The name of the Students Federation of India (SFI) is written in the posters. Police is investigating the case.

The poster appeared on the walls of Brennan College and Government ITI College on Friday evening. It was written in the poster, "This India is not my country. These terrible people are not my siblings. I do not love such a country. In its present state, I do not take any pride. I feel ashamed to be with these terrorists in the current situation in India." However, Thalassery police registered a case under section 153 (abetment with intent to incite riot) of the IPC. No person's name has been taken in the FIR.

The Kerala High Court on Wednesday ordered a stay on any type of protests at school and college campuses in the state following the deaths in Delhi violence. The Kerala High Court, in its order, banned all kinds of student groups' movements on their campuses, stating protests that disrupted normal functioning in educational institutions. While prohibiting Adi, the High Court also said that no one can be persuaded to take part in such protests.
