The final session on day three of the second Cricket Test was wiped out by rain after India declared their first innings at 500 for nine against the West Indies at Kingston, Jamaica. Ajinkya Rahane helped India gain a first innings lead of 304 runs and pile more pressure on the West Indies.

Rahane, with 108 not out, made his seventh Test hundred to strengthen India's hold on the game. Rahane's century was followed by the declaration in the post lunch session but intermittent rain ensured not a single ball was bowled for the remainder of the day.

Previous, Lokesh Rahul scored 158 runs. For the West Indies, Roston Chase took 5 wickets. The hosts were packaged out for 196 on the first day.

India is foremost the 4-match sequence, 1-0. They had won the Antigua Test by an innings and 92 runs.
