NEW DELHI: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said India was moving in the direction of ‘Ram Rajya’ with the government making every effort to work for the welfare of farmers, labourers, women and the youth. Speaking at a book release function in New Delhi, the minister said the government was walking on the path of the ideals set out by Lord Ram.

"I'm happy to say that we have been able to follow Lord Ram's guidelines. We are working hard to improve the lives of farmers, labourers, traders, students, young people, and women. I don't want to lead you astray. I won't say that Ram Rajya has been introduced to the nation, but we have undoubtedly taken steps in that direction "he said.

Earlier, whenever India spoke at the international fora, it was not taken seriously.  Yet today, both India's stature and respect have increased. Today, the world listens intently to everything India says on international platforms "he said.
The Defense minister said Lord Ram's life story serves as a guiding light for the government.

Anurag Thakur, the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, remarked during the event that this year will see the opening of the magnificent temple dedicated to Lord Ram in Ayodhya.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and the temple will be opened for devotees this year," he said.
