India Post GDS Recruitment 2023: The registration process for recruitment for India Post's Gramik Dak Sevak (GDS) will end on Thursday, 16 February. Interested and eligible candidates who want to apply for Gramik Dak Sevak post can apply online through the official site i.e. indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
This recruitment drive will fill up 40,889 posts in the organisation. Applications received by any other manner will not be considered, as reads in the official website. For the posts of GDS Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak, applications are being accepted by Indian Post.
Regarding eligibility, it is required for candidates to possess a Secondary School Examination pass certificate from the 10th standard, which must have been administered by any recognised Board of School Education by the Government of India, State Governments, or Union Territories in India. The candidate should be proficient in at least one local language, computer skills, cycling, and enough means of subsistence.
The needed minimum age is 18, while the maximum age is 40. The application fee for each position listed in the choice of Division is Rs 100. All female candidates, SC/ST applicants, PwD applicants, and Transwomen applicants, however, are excused from paying the cost.
As per the notification, the applicants will be shortlisted for engagement on the basis of a system-generated merit list. The Merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained/conversion of Grades/Points to marks in Secondary School Examination of 10th standard of approved Boards aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals. It is mandatary to pass every subject in accordance with the corresponding, recognised board standards.
The shortlisted candidates will be required to submit an assurance of liability in the event that they provide false or inaccurate information or facts in the form. A total of 15 days will be given to the shortlisted candidates to submit their documentation for review.
