New Delhi: The second T20 match between India and Sri Lanka, which is to begin at 8 pm on Tuesday, has been postponed. The decision comes after Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya was found to be infected with corona. The match can be played on Wednesday if all the other players and support staff of both the teams come negative.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) official has informed that both the teams have been sent to isolation after Krunal was found infected. This isolation will continue till the corona investigation report of all the players comes out. Opener Prithvi Shaw and middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav's departure to England is also clouded by the crisis due to Krunal being found corona infected. Let us tell you that the Indian Test team is currently in England where the series of 5 Test matches is to start from 4 August. Due to injuries to three players, including Shubman Gill, it was decided to send Prithvi and Suryakumar, who were participating in the limited-overs series in Sri Lanka, to England.

Let us tell you that Team India has gone to Sri Lanka to play a series of 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches. The ODI series was to begin on July 13. However, due to some members of the Sri Lankan team getting infected, it was able to start from 18 July. 3 ODI matches were played on 18, 20, and 23 July. The first T20 match took place on 25 July. The second T20 match was to be held on 27 and the third on 29 July. Now the second match has been postponed. It will be decided whether the series will continue or be postponed only after the reports of other players come.
