India to export corona vaccines to Bangladesh free of cost

India has developed two corona vaccines against coronavirus. The nation has started the vaccination drive and now helping other countries. The India government plans to give Serum India Institute's Covishield to its neighbouring countries. India will give vaccines to Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar and Nepal free of costs as a goodwill gesture.

India to gift 2 million doses of 'Covishield' to Bangladesh. The neighbouring country will receive 2 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine 'Covishield' as a gift from India on January 20.

According to the report of Dhaka Tribune report, a special flight from India carrying the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines, locally manufactured by Serum Institute of India, would land at Shahjalal International Airport on January 20. The vaccines will be received and stored at DGHS' facilities. The additional storage for the COVID-19 vaccines will be provided by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
