India trying to win ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 for soldiers is amazing gesture: Sachin Tendulkar

Team India is all set for the cricket's biggest tournament, iCC Cricket World cup wgich is to be held in  England and Wales. Before leaving for WC, Indian skipper Virat Kohli,, had said they will try to win the quadrennial event for country’s soldiers. Former Indian batsman and the 2011 World Cup winner, Sachin Tendulkar has now opined on Kohli’s gesture of trying to win World Cup for the saviours of the nation.

Tendulkar said that the soldiers cannot be compared to anyone else as they are the top of the country and fully deserve all the respect. He further then termed Kohli’s take as an ‘amazing gesture’ while adding that Team India has to ensure that it gives its best on the field and dedicate the win to the soldiers.

At a press confernece, Sachin said, “The soldiers of the country are at the top of the country, we cannot compare them to anyone as they fight for the country and they deserve the respect. Team India is saying they’re trying to win the World Cup for the soldiers and this is an amazing gesture... We have to ensure that we do our best and dedicate the win to them,” said Tendulkar at a press conference on Sunday.

India will face every participating team at the 2019 World Cup but the match against Pakistan will always stand out from the other matches. The highly-anticipated match is scheduled to be played on June 16 and the arch-rivals will go all-out to get a win.
