LONDON: Team India beat Pakistan for a record 7th time in the 22nd World Cup match on Sunday. Virat-led Team India managed to win their third World Cup match with a tremendous performance. Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant 140 runs in the match, while Virat also outscored Sachin.

Virat Kohli became the fastest batsman to score 11000 runs in ODI cricket, trailing Sachin Tendulkar. He scored 222 innings against Sachin's 276 innings. Team India's all-rounder Vijay Shankar became the first Indian to take a wicket on the first ball in the World Cup while the third bowler to do so in 44-year history.

At the same time, Team India beat Pakistan for the seventh time in the history of the World Cup, defeating the same team so often. Virat Kohli (77) has become the highest scorer Indian captain against Pakistan in the World Cup. Chasing a victory target of 89 runs against Pakistan in the World Cup, India became the biggest ever victory. Earlier, the team defeated Pakistan by 76 runs in 2015.
