Dubai: Pakistan have beaten India in their very first match of the T20 World Cup (T20 World Cup 2021). India lost by 10 wickets to Pakistan. This is the first time in the history of the World Cup that India have lost to Pakistan. In their first match of the T20 World Cup, the Indian team suffered a major setback. Hardik Pandya also raised the concerns of Virat Kohli after the match.

Hardik Pandya was taken to the hospital for a scan after the match against Pakistan.  Pandya did not field against Pakistan due to injury. Ishan Kishan has fielded in place of Hardik Pandya. Pandya's seriousness of the injury could not be ascertained though he was sent for a precautionary scan. The BCCI, on the other hand, says Hardik Pandya suffered a injury in his right shoulder while batting.

BCCI spokeperson further said, "He has gone for a scan. Let us tell you that Pandya played an 11-run innings against Pakistan''. India are now scheduled to play their next match against New Zealand on October 31. Pandya's injury has increased the tension of Indian squad. Team India was already worried about Pandya's fitness as he has not been able to bowl for quite some time now. He was also included in the batting squad for the match against Pakistan. Last match against Pakistan was very special as it was his 50th T20 match.
