Colombo: The final match of the three-match ODI series between India and Sri Lanka will be played today. Team India has already taken an unbeaten 2-0 lead in the series. Team India is likely to undergo several changes for the third and final match. Team India can give chances in the final ODI to players who have not had a chance to play so far. Two or three players from Sanju Samson, Devdutt Padikal, Varun Chakravarti, and Ruturaj Gaikwad may get a chance to make their debut.
Prithvi Shaw can be conferred in the final ODI in Shikhar Dhawan-led Team India. One of the players in Devdutt Padikal or Ruturaj Gaikwad may get a chance to make his debut in place of Prithvi Shaw. Sanju Samson can be seen playing the role of wicketkeeper-batsman in the third and final match. Sanju Samson was sure to play in the first ODI. But he had to be ruled out of two ODIs due to injury. Sanju Samson will succeed Ishan Kishan in Team India.
The Indian team is also going to make changes in its spin department. One of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal can be dropped from the player and the third ODI. Varun Chakravarti's debut for Team India is almost certain. Varun Chakravarti is part of Team India's T20 World Cup plan, so Team India will definitely want to give him a chance in the final ODI of the year.
