New Delhi: Even after arriving in the capital of the country from the time of monsoon, people are waiting for the rain. There has been 40% less rainfall so far. However, Monsoon is in its pace in many regions of North, Eastern, and Coastal India. In these areas, heavy rains occurred at many places on Sunday. For the past few days, the monsoon has been weak in Rajasthan as well, but from Tuesday, it is expected to increase its strength here.

Between June 1 and July 11, western Rajasthan received 8% less rainfall than normal. While the eastern part of the state has received 13% less rainfall. Several areas of Haryana and Punjab received rains on Sunday. Authorities in Himachal Pradesh have issued a yellow alert due to heavy rains between July 13 and July 16. The Meteorological Department said that due to the northward monsoon trough (drony), there may be less rain in Delhi for the next 7 days. There is heavy rain in Mumbai and its surrounding areas on Monday.

According to the department, there may be good rains till July 16. Strong winds have been predicted in the southwest and west-central Arabian Sea. In view of this danger, the Meteorological Department has instructed the fishermen not to go to sea. On giving the information, Kuldeep Srivastava, chief of IMD's Delhi region, said, "Generally, a strong weather system is formed in the Bay of Bengal at this time which moves towards northwest India and increases the activity of monsoon."
