India welcomes New Year, 2018 with celebrations in abundance

New Delhi [India], Jan 1 (NT): Celebrations were seen from corner to corner of the nation as people bid farewell to 2017 and made the line of attack for the happy entrance in New Year, 2018.

The celebrations were at hit the highest point in foremost cities of the country.

As clubs were full of enthusiasm with party lovers in cities of New Delhi, Bhopal and Lucknow, the beach turned out to be the party hub in Chennai where people went to the Marina Beach to welcome the new year.

For this moment, people in the crowd the open venues in Pune, Kolkata's Park Street, Bengaluru's MG Road and Mumbai's Marine Drive to merrymaking it out.

Goa that is known as the heart of all party-goers was graced with the performance of singer Daler Mehendi in Panjim.

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawans in Chhattisgarh's Bastar also were not in the wake of in their party. Steeling time out of their duty, the police workforce set up a tent and danced to their contentment. The patriotic songs were undeniably in their playlist!

Amritsar's Golden Temple and Delhi's Rakabganj Gurudwara were also lit upbeat for the occasion as many chose to steer in the New Year the religious way.

Taking them out of the ordinary itinerary, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari greets the night with the poor in Delhi's Nigambodh Ghat area. Tiwari, who is also a singer, entertained the massive jamboree with his songs and 'shayaris'. (NT)
