Indian Air Force jets strike terror camps across LoC, destroyed JeM camp

New Delhi: In the wake of Pulwama attack, Indian Air Force on Tuesday morning struck a Jaish-e-Muhammed (JeM) camp in Balakot, Pakistan. The attack was carried out at around 3:30 am.

According to the source, 12 Mirage 2000 jets participated in the operation that dropped 1,000 kg bombs at the terrorist camp across the LoC and completely destroyed it.

After the attack, The Pakistan Army has issued a condemnation. Pakistan Army spokesman Major General Asif Ghafoor tweeted a few pictures, captioning: "Payload of hastily escaping Indian aircrafts fell in open."

Balakot is located well within Pakistan and not in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. The strike is believed to have caused significant damage and a detailed assessment is likely to be shared shortly.

The attack of the Indian Air force came days after at least 40 CRPF jawans were killed in a terror attack in Pulwama, the Indian Air Force on Tuesday morning struck a Jaish-e-Muhammed (JeM) camp in Balakot, Pakistan.
