No trace of Indian Air Force's missing AN-32 aircraft found so far

New Delhi: An AN-32 aircraft of the Indian Air Force went missing after 35 minutes of takeoff. The plane was carrying 13 people including seven officers. According to the information, the aircraft flew from Jorhat in Assam at 12.25 minutes on Monday afternoon to the Menchua advanced Landing Ground in Arunachal Pradesh. The ground staff had contacted the plane for the last time at around 1 p.m. The Menchua is close to the China border.

As per the information received from the sources, the aircraft is yet to be found out. The Army's C-130 J and ground patrolling teams are conducting search operations. Besides, an army ALH helicopter has also been deployed in addition to Sukhoi 30 aircraft, an-32 aircraft. According to the Air Force, the probable location of the crash of the aircraft is known as Langshiang in Arunachal Pradesh. In the meantime, some people from a village in Langshiang have said that six bodies were found but the Air Force has not confirmed it.

According to information, Defence minister Rajnath Singh spoke to the deputy Chief of Air Staff. "On the missing aircraft An-32, I spoke to Air Marshal Rakesh Singh Bhadoria, vice chief of the Air Force," he tweeted. He briefed me on the steps taken to locate the missing aircraft. I pray for all passengers aboard the plane to be safe.
