Indian army arrested Chinese soldier roaming in Indian territory

New Delhi: A Chinese soldier has been apprehended by the Indian Army in the Indian territory near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh. According to the news agency ANI, a Chinese soldier has been caught on the Indian side of the LAC in the early hours of Friday. These Chinese soldiers have been arrested in the south of Pangong Tso Lake. This Chinese soldier crossed the LAC, after which he was arrested by the Indian Army. It is being investigated under which circumstances he crossed the LAC.

Since the month of May last year, the deadlock between India and China on LAC in Ladakh continues. Here the armies of both the countries are standing face to face. Giving information to the army sources, the Chinese soldier is being dealt with according to the procedures and circumstances already laid down. Sources said that the Chinese Army has been informed about the PLA soldier arrested under the occupation of Rezang La. The two armies are talking among themselves about this soldier.

This is not the first time that a Chinese soldier has been captured from Indian territory. Earlier in October 2020, a Chinese soldier was arrested from the territory of India in Ladakh. The soldier of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China was caught in the Demchok sector of eastern Ladakh on Monday when he wandered into the LAC and entered Indian territory. The Chinese soldier was identified as Corporal Wang or Lang. He was provided with necessary medical assistance including oxygen, food and warm clothes. Later this soldier was handed over to the Chinese army.
