Anjaw-Arunachal Pradesh: The Indian Army, in collaboration with the Border Road Organisation and the Deputy Commissioner of Anjaw district, has inaugurated a Bailey bridge in the Chaglohagam circle of Arunachal Pradesh's Anjaw district. This bridge links Chaglohagam and Haliyuang, providing a crucial connection. Both the local community in the region and the Indian Army troops stationed there have been grappling with natural challenges and inadequate infrastructure.

The path to Chaglohagam currently relies on a single 57-kilometre road from Hayuliang. However, this route is vulnerable to closures caused by seasonal nullahs and landslides, particularly at "Tha Nala," situated 24 kilometres from Chaglohagam. The Nala has a history of overflowing due to heavy rains, leading to unfortunate loss of lives among the locals.

Despite adverse weather conditions and challenging terrain, the project was swiftly planned and executed, resulting in the bridge's completion. The local Mishmi ethnic group enthusiastically marked the bridge's opening ceremony along the Chaglohagam-Hayuliang route on August 24th. Village elders expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army and BRO for addressing the critical needs of the community and establishing road connectivity between Hayuliang and Chaglohagam.

During the event, Indian Army officials, Senior BRO representatives, and civic dignitaries engaged with the villagers. They reassured the community of their unwavering support in easing the difficulties faced by the villagers in these regions.
