Srinagar: Security forces have killed two militants in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. The slain militants include one of the terrorists whose car was used in a suicide attack on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama on February 14. He was being searched for a long time. The mastermind of the Pulwama IED blast has also been piled up.
According to Army sources, in an encounter in Anantnag on Tuesday morning, security forces have killed the terrorist Sajjad Butt of Jaish-e-Mohammed. Sajjad Bhatt's car was used in a suicide attack on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama on February 14. 44 CRPF personnel were killed in the attack and the incident shocked the country.
In addition, another army terrorist has been killed. The terrorist was the mastermind of the IED blast carried out by an army vehicle in Pulwama on Monday, June 17. Nine jawans were injured in the attack, out of which two succumbed to their injuries during treatment this morning while the rest are undergoing treatment. At present, security forces are conducting search operations in Pulwama and Anantnag.
