New Delhi: India and China have been in a military standoff on the border for the past few months, even after the Indian soldiers are helping Chinese nationals in north Sikkim. According to a statement issued by the army, three Chinese nationals, including a woman, were suffering during the 'zero degree' temperature in North Sikkim on September 3.

According to the statement, the three Chinese nationals had strayed into the plateau area of North Sikkim at an altitude of about 17,500 feet. At that time, the Indian Jawans extended their hands to help them. Seeing the lives of Chinese citizens at risk, including two men and one woman, Indian jawans rushed there for immediate assistance. Because of the temperature less than zero degrees, all lives were in distress, but the Indian Army Jawans provided medical help, including oxygen, food and woollen clothes, to save them.

Not only that, but the Indian Army also apprised them of the proper way to reach their destination, after which they returned. Chinese citizens have expressed gratitude to India and the Indian Army for their immediate help.
