New Delhi: The man had to hire a 2-seater aeroplane to holiday with his wife. When the couple had two children and their family grew even bigger, the man started having even more problems going on vacation. Because the 4-seater aeroplanes either didn't meet early or were old enough. Disturbed by all this, a man made a new aeroplane at his home. He has now travelled to many countries with his family and friends on the same plane.

The name of this man is Ashok Aliseril Thamarakshan. He is a resident of Alappuzha in Kerala. Ashok is the son of former MLA AV Thamarakshan. Ashok, 38, has a B.Tech from Palakkad Engineering College. After this, in the year 2006, he moved to London for a master's degree and started living there. Ashok is a mechanical engineer by profession and is currently working at Ford Motor Company. According to media reports, Ashok spent around Rs 1 crore 35 lakh to build this plane. After almost 18 months of hard work, he made it at home. Ashok has named this plane G-Diya after his daughter. So far, this family of 4 people has gone to many places from this plane. Not only this, but these people have also travelled to many other countries by this plane. Let me tell you that Ashok also has a pilot's license.

He said it's like a new home toy. Ashok's wife Abhilasha says, "Ashok worked hard for the last two years, then our dream has come true.'' Abhilasha said, "From the time of the first lockdown, we started saving money. We wanted to have a plane of our own from the beginning. In the initial months, we saved well. After that, we started working on building the plane.''

Ashok said that, in the year 2018, I came to know that a Johannesburg-based company called Sling Aircraft is launching Sling TSI Aeroplane. After this, he ploughed the information about this plane and ordered the kit. He started preparing the plane in the compound of the house itself. He said that making aircraft at home is not a new thing for Britain, because here companies provide assembly kits.

In the lockdown, he got enough time to make the plane. In February 2022, he completed his project and left for the first trip. The maximum speed of this small plane is 200km/hr. The fuel tank capacity of the aircraft is 180 liters. Ashok has travelled with family to many cities of Britain by this plane. He has also gone to Germany, Austria and Czech Republic with his friends on this plane.
